IRSCL - Application for membership The purpose of the IRSCL is to further research into children's and young people's literature, reading and related fields. Thus the primary aim of the Society is that professional information be exchanged, theoretical questions discussed, research initiated and, if possible, coordinated. To reach this purpose, the Society strives to work in cooperation with specialists, institutions and organisations whose activities are related to the aims of the Society. Individual membership for researchers in the
field of childrens literature studies; Membership Fees Dear Member: As of January 1, 2006, your annual fees are due. Please consider paying for two years, in which case you should just multiply the number of years for which you wish to pay by the rate that applies to you. Institutional membership is available for organizations involved with children's literature, such as libraries, research centres, journals, and children's book collections, whose activities are related to the aims of the Society (i.e. further research into children's literature, reading and related fields. With their membership, these organizations further research and strengthen their contacts with professionals all over the world. Institutional members are:
Institutional members receive the Membership Directory - a global 'Who is who?' of children's literature research - and printed copies of the Newsletters.Institutional membership does not carry with it the right to vote in General Membership Meetings, nor does it provide access to Board membership. |
